• Bachelor of Science in Real Estate at the University of The West of England is a 3 years program.
  • It is an on-campus, honours program offered on a full-time basis.
  • This course is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). 
  • Students will learn about buying and selling, valuations, resolving landlord and tenant disputes, negotiating compensation, and day-to-day management.
  • Students learn through a mix of tutor-led and face-to-face classes, student-led and independent study, online study, group projects, and by supporting each other's learning.
  • This course is also recognised by the European Council of Real Estate Professions (CEPI).
  • Students have to attend regular presentations from visiting professionals, academics, and past students so they can learn about industry challenges and best practice.
  • Lectures, workshops, seminars, group project work, and tutoring make up 12 hours of contact time each week.
  • If students study on the four-year sandwich course, they will have to spend a year away from the University on a work placement after Year two.
  • Job opportunities are varied and include roles in property management, valuation, development, taxation, purchase, sales, and disposal. 
  • The students secure placements in a range of organizations as well as with real estate partner employers. These include Jones Lang LaSalle, Savills, BNP and Paribas.
