• Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at the University of The West of England is a 3 years program.
  • It is an on-campus, honours program offered on both a full-time and a part-time basis.
  • BA(Hons) Sociology focuses on how we can make a difference to self and society using sociological theories and approaches.
  • Students learn to evaluate evidence, approach problems from multiple perspectives, and build their expertise in research, analysis, and communication.
  • Students will develop their academic and practical skills through a mix of lectures, seminars, workshops, technology-based learning, media presentations, independent project work, and reflective diaries.
  • If students study on the four-year sandwich course, they will have to spend a year away from the University on a work placement after Year two.
  • Students will have at least 12 hours of teaching and related activities each week.
