• Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at the University of The West of England is a 3 years program.
  • It is an on-campus, honours program offered on both a full-time and a part-time basis.
  • The philosophy course offers an inclusive opportunity for learners from a broad range of backgrounds to demonstrate their abilities in a variety of ways, from blog journals to public speaking exams.
  • Students will study a mix of theoretical and practice-led modules, which embed core subjects throughout the course.
  • If students study on the four-year sandwich course, they will have to spend a year away from the University on a work placement after Year two.
  • Teaching will be centered around three core themes, which students will follow throughout their academic journey.
  • These themes comprise Health, Society and Public Ethics; Technology, Environment, and Sustainability; and Human Flourishing and Creative Practice.
  • Students will be taught through a mixture of lectures and workshops, symposia, Live Brief presentations, and integrated placements with external partners.
