The Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry) programme from University of Bradford includes Ôhands-onÕ qualification training for key techniques using instrumentation in the UniversityÕs Centre for Chemical and Structural Analysis.

Facilities

University of Bradford's multi-million pound Centre for Chemical and Structural Analysis houses excellent analytical instrumentation which you will use to gain genuine practical experience of research apparatus. You will use NMR, IR, Raman, Mass Spectrometry, HPLC and GC, and X-ray diffraction instruments throughout your course.

Placement

You will have the choice of undertaking professional practice as an end-on placement in the fourth year either a full-year research placement within an internationally renowned research group at the University, or a full-year industrial placement as an employee with one of our industrial partners. The University will closely monitor your time with the employer. These placements add genuine graduate experience to a CV and provide opportunities for seamless transition into employment.

The placement is available in the MChem year with either research or industrial experience. We now offer unique Ôend-on Õ MChem overseas placements in partnership with Universities in Italy, Spain and France.
