You will learn how to design environmentally-friendly structures using sustainable materials and advanced engineering methods. You will learn with staff who are active in industry, research and consultancy.
Your learning will be supported by fieldwork and access to specialist facilities, including our hydraulics lab, concrete lab, soils lab and computer suite. As part of your masters-level study there are also opportunities to get involved in some of your lecturersÕ research and consultancy work.
There is an emphasis on interdisciplinary learning, meaning you will collaborate with students in related fields on project work,Êmirroring the real-world environment.
The option of a salaried placement year provides valuable work experience and you will have the opportunity to learn Building Information Modelling (BIM) to further enhance your CV. You also have the option to study abroad as part of the Erasmus programme.
