This collaborative course provides an opportunity for widening participation students entering the foundation year to progress to the MBChB programme at Leeds Medical School
University of Bradford's focus is to widen participation in medical and healthcare education from students from underrepresented groups.
The Clinical Sciences (Hons) course will provide you with the essential knowledge and key skills to underpin todayÕs ever-changing health service, and to meet the needs of our local community.
There will be opportunities on both courses for experiential training in a variety of healthcare settings.

There are three routes into Clinical Sciences:
- Route 1: Direct entry into Year 1 of the BSc is suitable for applicants who wish to study a medically-related degree.
- Route 2: Entry via the Foundation year is suitable for applicants who do not have science A levels or the entry requirements for Year 1. Route 2 can lead directly into the BSc in Clinical Sciences or other health-related courses at Bradford or other UK institutions.
- Route 3: Entry via Route 3 into the Foundation year is for applicants who fulfil our widening participation criteria as well as the standard academic and non-academic entry requirements. Route 3 provides transfer opportunities for some students to the MBChB programme
- at Leeds Medical School.

Opportunities include medicine and careers within the NHS that contribute directly to patient care, ranging from health service management, healthcare sciences, financial management, clinical psychology and primary care.
