Television and radio, whether broadcast or streaming services are not only economically important, but they are also key areas for providing communication, information, and entertainment, for supporting culture, and for exporting it. These media connect people locally, nationally, and around the world.
  • This MA offers a program of study combining the theoretical, applied, and creative aspects of contemporary television and audio production. Students will be introduced to theoretical approaches to broadcasting and streaming, developing their understanding of the social and cultural roles of these media, as well as to a variety of production techniques vital to the production of factual television, audio, VR, AR, and interactive media.
  • The program is designed to appeal to graduate students in the Humanities and Social Sciences, particularly those with backgrounds in English, politics, history, journalism, cultural studies, and creative writing. The previous academic study of or practical experience in the media is not essential, though it would be beneficial
