This programme will enhance a studentÕs theoretical insights into, and practical applications of technology in education and professional practice. Students learn how to apply the latest educational theory to their everyday professional practice as well as developing research skills, allowing progression on to doctoral research.

Graduates of this programme are currently working as university learning technologists, government education researchers and PhD students.

  • This programme is run by UCL's London Knowledge Lab (LKL) where social scientists engage in research on the future of learning with digital technologies in a wide range of educational settings. Commonly the research is interdisciplinary in nature, with collaborations involving, for example, computer scientists, designers, and subject specialist educators.
  • The London Knowledge Lab conducts research that involves design, development and evaluation across a broad range of media, systems and environments, and brings together social scientists from the areas of education, sociology, culture and media, semiotics, computational intelligence, information management, personalisation, semantic web and ubiquitous technologies.
