Likes
- campus is peaceful and green which makes it a nice place to study. Classrooms, labs and library are well maintained and environment is good for learning without too much distraction
- Most faculty members are supportive and explain concepts well. they are approachable if you have doubts and encourage students to participate in seminars, workshops, and technical events.
- college regularly conducts placement drives and training sessions like aptitude, coding, communication skills and mock interviews. students who prepare well get decent placement opportunities
Dislikes
- college follows strict rules regarding attendance and discipline. Sometimes it feels a little restrictive especially during regular working days and practical sessions.
- number of core companies visiting for some branches could be better. many students also depend on off campus opportunities to get higher salary packages
- canteen food is average and there could be more food options. Some campus facilities and extracurricular activities can also be improved to make student life more enjoyable.
Remarks :
I chose NIST because of its decent placements good faculty and affordable fees. I got admission through AP EAPCET counselling. The process was smooth and college has a good reputation in Visakhapatnam
Course Curriculum Overview :
curriculum covers both theory and practical subjects well. We have two mid exams and semester exams. syllabus is useful for placements though adding more industry projects would make it even better.overall course gives a good foundation for higher studies and jobs
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
fee is reasonable compared to other private colleges. I paid around Rs 75000 per year with separate hostel charges. AP fee reimbursement and a few merit scholarships are available. Fees increase slightly for new batches.
Campus Life :
campus life is enjoyable with technical and cultural events every year.library has enough books, classrooms are well equipped and there are sports and clubs where students can participate and make friends
Faculty :
Most faculty members are friendly and helpful. They clear doubts whenever needed and teach well. We have 2 mid exams and semester exams. The syllabus is relevant and passing is not difficult if you study regularly

Placement Experience :
Well at first they tell us that they provide college placement with the average package of 3.5 K per annum it was based on the student capability and also in my degree they provide internship also but it is not paid I guess because I recently completed my first year so hope to enter in 2nd semester.
