- College management conduct various sports day and indeep competition it is was to entertain the students
- The college also allows the student to participate in other colleges competition and provide od for them
- The staff are to kind at student and clear the students doubt whenever they ask
Dislikes
- The college management did not listen to the student priority for any main event which take place in college
- The management suddenly stop some event if there was no time so the students where soo dipressed about that
- Some of the staff are irritating the students and comple to buy components like laptops or they did not allow them to lab
Remarks :
I was applied to several colleges like bishop and icat in Chennai for the fees purpose I decided to go this college for ug but bishop college accept my application form after I get admission form st Joseph's College i applied through online the official website of st Joseph's College and I got a letter from my church persist and i attached that with my online application form and then I entered my details my name and other kind of stuff like address,12th mark, etc. When my application was selected I pay my fees through online and then they notify me when the college had been open I done all admission work by online itself I come only for hostel admission in manually.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I want become an game developer for that purpose I joined in this course and they teach the programing language which is now Used in most of it company and also follow the formal dress code which is used in it company and they also prepare students for the interview and there was a special program named Shepard which students are went to a village which alerted to them and help the people in the village and help their needs this will help students social skills and for mid semester and end semester exam the timing is 2.00 hours and for foundation course it is 1.30 hours the exam will conduct and for the semester it will be 3.00 hours and for foundation course 2.30 hours will the examination take place
Internships Opportunities :
Now there are three top major companies are take place in internship they are assian paints,tata communications,trip factory in 2023 and 2024 the college had make the students to prepare the interview and projects by the students itself and also the management provided extra courses for their career in physics Preparation and characterization of metal chalcogebide based nanostructured materials/ nanofilms for optoelectronic application and in computer science Design and Development of Secured IoT based Smart Health Management System are the two of some majar projects in st Joseph's College
Placement Experience :
After finishing 2nd year students have to go to internship in the summer leave and they have to provide the internship certificate to the college management after the 5th semester the campus interview had been take place where the eligible students are attend the interview and then they are selected in the campus interview but only 35% of students only gets placement in the campus interview my plan after getting degree is doing an pg in abroad and then try jobs in gameing field
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
We pay 19000 RS per semester and we pay separately exam fee like 1500 rs for per semester exams and we are not asked to pay lab fees it was included in college fee but we have to pay for record and file around 100 rupees and also for lab shirt also and ther is also scholarship also available for SC and ST and for minorities and for b.com per semester it coast 13000 and for viscom 19000 and there is an special jusite scholarship which any students can apply for the reduction for the fees but the student should not have any arrear for the scholarship
Campus Life :
There are only three or four festival only celebrate on all over campus they are sports day,indeep,Pongaland college annual day But in this days normally students are not eager to watch this function because the cultural events are only take place in only indeep only soo the students participating in so rare and our college has biggest library where students can able to search for the book which is related to their subject and they can spend time in library in this college sports is the main part of the college and students who participated in sports the college management gives full support for them and there many students group like AICUF,NCC,NSS,social club,fine arts,etc.. there can students join in this clubs and they can shine their skills.
Hostel Facilities :
There are two hostel inside the campus Thry are sacred heart hostel and new hostel. S.H hostel is for 2nd shift students and N.H is for 1st shif students and there is Jim block hostels for MBA students and there is seperate hostel for sports students The meal are good but some time it was worst mainly in morning breakfast and night dinner the lunch was good always once we get admission in college the alert the students form long distance hostel for them and they have applied to hostel once the students were selected they paid the hostel fees and they can join in the hostel and there are three blocks in sh hostel in a big room there there are 6 to 8 students per room and in small room there are 3 to 4 students are staying and in hall there 20 to 30 students are staying there are no coats are provided the students only stayed on the floor.
Faculty :
In bsc CS there is three sections and i each class there is 40 to 50 student but only boys in both first and second shift the students are good in get along with other students but I like my DBMS staff merilla mam she was to dedicated and a kind staff there are two semesters for per year and each semester has one mid end semester test and there are two components one library assignment for cia marks at last the semester examination take place
