Remarks :
I applied to several colleges, including IIT B, IIT M, and IIT K. Each of these institutions had its strengths, particularly in the programs and resources they offered in my field of interest. I received confirmed admission offers from IITB and IIT M in addition to the college I ultimately chose, but I was not interested in the courses which they offered . The college I chose offers a highly reputed program in my field of study. The curriculum is up-to-date, and the faculty includes experienced professionals with industry connections. This college provides excellent research opportunities, with numerous labs and centers dedicated to innovative projects that align with my interests. The facilities here are modern and well-equipped, particularly the labs and libraries, which are crucial for my academic work. The admission process includes clearing JEE advanced exam, the cut off for all departments varies, the least rank required is around 11000 .
Course Curriculum Overview :
The fact that the course dives deep into the core CSE topics made me take this course. The curriculum focuses on real world applications, making the students job ready There is no improvement needed for now. The frequecy of the exams is decent , like 2 per subject per month, and they are pretty difficult

From 6th sem student becomes eligible for placements. All big it companies visits the college like Google, Microsoft , Dell, ebuillent , JPMC , etc. Highest package is around 2.2 CR per annum , AVG is around 35 lpa. Profiles are SDE, QR , ML, AI etc 90% students get placed each year. My plan is to become an Ai ml engineer

Campus Life :
Alcheringa is one of the largest cultural festivals in India, typically held in February. It attracts participants from across the country, featuring events like music concerts, dance competitions, art exhibitions etc. Techniche, usually held.in September, is the institute's annual techno-management festival. It includes workshops, lectures by industry experts, hackathons, and various competitions . The Central Library at IIT Guwahati is well-equipped with a vast collection of over 2.2 lakh books, including academic textbooks, reference materials, and general reading books. It also subscribes to a wide range of national and international journals. The classrooms are modern and equipped with advanced technological facilities. This includes smartboards, projectors, and audio-visual systems that enhance the learning experience IIT Guwahati boasts excellent sports infrastructure, including facilities for all sports. Multiple clubs- coding, finance, consulting etc
Hostel Facilities :
IIT Guwahati provides on-campus hostel accommodation for all its students. The hostels are well-maintained, with single, double, or triple occupancy rooms depending on the year of study and availability. Each room is furnished with essential amenities including a bed, study table, chair, and wardrobe. The rooms are spacious and have adequate ventilation. Some hostels also offer attached balconies with a beautiful view of the campus and surrounding nature. High-speed Wi-Fi is available in all hostels, ensuring that students have reliable internet access for academic and personal use. Meal quality is really good Hostel are affordable with arounf 40k per year Registration happens during admission only
Faculty :
The faculty to student ratio is nearly 1:50. The relationship is healtht and faculties are approachable between 9-5. The most popular faculties include prof John Jose, R. Inkulu , T. Venkatesh. They are very experienced professors and teach the topic in detail. There are 2 quizzes per subject , and one mid sem and one end sem. The exams are difficult, and about 10 percent fail in these exams. The course curriculum is highly relevant.

The placement at your college is strong, with about 80% of students getting placed in companies like Oil India, Bajaj, Amazon, Vedantu, and Byju's. As for my plans, i intend to take the GATE exam to deepen on my knowledge in my branch, mainly for research purposes,the students of 7th sem are eligible for the placements ,the highest package of our college was around 2500000 and the average package is around 500000.

From 7th semester (4th year) students become eligible for campus placements Tata ,Tata motors ,Vedantu and IUCL are some of the companies that visited our college recently. The highest package in our college was 25lakhs per annum and the average package is 4.5lakhs per annum. 55-60% of students get placements every year. I am aiming for campus placements after getting the degree and also if not i will try for entrance exam such as Gate to pursue further studies.

From 7 semester the students are eligible for campus placement but in offcampus the student can apply for the interview from 5th sem onwards. The companies visites like tata, oild india, vedantu etc many big big companies visits the college every year in search of students in the college. The highest package taken this time is about 21 lpa from the oil comapang which is from the mechanical and the average is 10 lpa in CSE the highest package is 12 lpa this year from the it sector and the average is 6 lpa and the chemical got highest package of 15 lpa from the ongc wtih average of 7 lpa. Every year more then 75% student get placed in the various companies. After getting the degree i will do job on an private companies thats probably the it sector companies and after that i will start an startup bussiness for side bussiness

The placement in Assam engineering college is very good. Student are trained for placement every year. Placement for students are eligible from 6th semester. The companiss include indian oil, mahindra company, tata company, chemical industry and many more etc. The highest package in Aec was offer around 16lpa.The percentage of getting placement in Aec is he should have to clear all backlogs.
