First I was applied for DGC Dimapur & got selected but I chose KCK because the environment was quiet & peaceful and I thought it's better to study in the capital of the state. For admission it's hectic, first we need to go to private bank, pay there and get a receipt, then take it back to college and submit it.
I chose English department because I'm interested in it and I've heard there are many popular writers in Kohima College so I decided to opt for English honours, the lecturers are so good, but one thing I dislike is the class timing, it's on 8:00 am, it's too early especially for people attending from far places, so I just wished the timing could've been scheduled better.
Our Monthly fees for hostel is 2500 and every semester admission is 5430 also for every semester hostel fees we pay 4540 For language Lab fees its 1000 Exam Form fill up fees id 1200 Everyone pays equally. It's a government college so can't expect more facilities.
Campus is good, friends are even better, events are fun too, we have cultural day, autumn fest, sports day and tfe classrooms are not great but fine, we have NCC organizations too, some books in the library are missing but most of the time its fine.
Lecturers are good especially English Department teachers are amazing, they understand students' grievances and tries to reach out, but I dislike some faculties from other departments, they don't care much about other students, moreover the exam branch gives much importance only to B.Com students
Though my course is a bit hard and confusing it's still one of the most efficient courses which proves many students with different opportunities and experience which is of great importance. It delves into the realms of learning from low to high and upward to downward
I'm taking is really interesting, it is really diverse and contains almost all the aspects of other courses. this course as it was interesting to me and also it helps us in the real world experience. the teaching methods of this course doesn't need much things
