- Teaching staff is very good here. They help us proper with everything.
- Our college provides sports function and every which helps us to stay fit. And indulge in sports
- College provides us many opportunities regarding fashion industry, games and etc.
Dislikes
- Our college canteen is too small. And doesn't have proper food menu
- Seniors are not nice to us. They are too anti social.
- Classrooms are not properly cleaned. The walls of the colleges started being deteriorated.
Remarks :
I applied to many colleges in Guwahati like Arya Vidyapeeth, Handique Girls' College, Guwahati College, Pragjyotish College, B Borooah College. I got confirmed admission in Handique Girls' College since I was in my 10th standard I wished to study here. I have always heard from my school seniors and neighbours about this college as it is a very well known college in Guwahati. Yes I got rejection from B Borooah College as the cut off was very high this year and my percentage was little low. Admission process in Handique Girls' College is totally based on the percentage of last qualified exam like HSLC ( For Higher Secondary) and HS ( Graduation). No entrance exam is conducted here.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Since my Higher Secondary days I love to study about animals. That's why I chose to know take Zoology as my Major subject where I can learn more about them. I would suggest that if our college faculties will provide us some excursion to zoos, national parks. Course is not so difficult if you study properly and if you are interested.
Internships Opportunities :
Since I don't know much about the internship related about our college. But I would like to say that our College will provide 80 students out of 100 a well packaged jobs. I know one senior from Chemistry Department shs has done her masters from Handique Girls' College and now she is working abroad. I don't know the companies that our college will provide internships.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I haven't applied for any scholarships. Our college didn't provide us proper news about any scholarships or anything. I'm from OBC Category so I didn't availed any affordability. My Total admission fees was Six thousands rupees including tuition fees, caution fees, registration fees, lab fees, library fees, etc...
Campus Life :
Our library provides a very wide range of books. You can find every book from fictional to science related and many more. You won't have to buy other reference book or any book. All are provided by our college. Every years Fresher party is held where we get to know each other i.e Junior senior relationship.
Faculty :
We can say that almost all faculties of our college are great. They are most humble teachers I have ever met. Specially our Zoology Professor named Jenifa Ma'am she's too kind and generous. But our HOD is little bit strict.

I find our college better then other colleges becouse it gives all the opportunities that a student must get , also our college is near to main road which makes easier for transportation , we can also join NCC , lots of inter college competition also held sometime , so I find it interesting as along with studies extra curricular activities are necessary . Our college conduct its semester exam according the order of board of university and question paper are also prepared by our board of university .
