I got into the college through students union and my percentage was quite applicable and fulfilling for this course, I didn't clear any entrance exam, they got me through the percentage I got in 12th so it was like this.
My previous high school was kendriya vidyalaya, so being a student of kendriya vidyalaya, I don't think their teaching habits are that much excellent, it is kind of mediocre but can be improved habitually
Annual fee varies from 10,000-12,000 with an extra amount of 760 as exam fee and 711 as semester fee which we have to pay per semester. Scholarships are just applicable for those who are residents of West Bengal, me being a resident of meghalaya this scholarship was not applicable for me, like any of the scholarships. My college doesn't have it own dormitory, but being under Calcutta University I would have applied for another hostels under Calcutta University but failed to find any.
There's no campus experience to be honest, I go to college attend classes and come back to my pg that's it. There's no specific clubs or sports club to be enrolled, I am a badminton player and thought of joining any clubs they have in the college but it didn't happen
Faculty members expect the helpers are all PhD holders their teaching style is mediocre to be honest and they use bengali to explain something so it gets sometimes difficult to understand a thing sometimes, overall experience is good but they can still make some changes in their teaching habits
Not anything particularly, I missed the the orientation, I was a late admission so, they did all group discussions and activities on the day of orientation itself, so I was not able to attend any of these
I take BSC in botany Honours because it has tbe best department and Good environment for study.Teachers are very helpfull and give u best suggestions. Teaching method of teachers are old they should make the subject interesting.
The college is very prestigeous and one of the best college for statistics honours in Kolkata. so that i took admission here. i think it was s very good decision. i have already mentioned the frequency and about exams.
In the real world they dont do any thing, they just focus on their studies but according to me they should focus on the students growth too , few skills which are very required rather than making projects. The course is nice but study methods are not implemented.
