- The univeristy department gives us more exposure to our field of study than a college department.
- The university campus has an aesthetic look and provides all necessary facilites.
- The faculty of the department are highly qualified and experienced.
Dislikes
- The exams are usually delay due to various reasons
- As it is a wide campus, the transportation inside the campus is difficult if you dont own a vehicle.
- The shortage of items in laboratory can delay the practicals.
Remarks :
Students those who have completed a degree in any biology subjects can register for the course. The admission process is through an entrance test called CAT (Common Admission Test) conducted by the univeristy. The apllication for the same will be available in the univeristy website during the allotment time. There is Reservation for OBC, Sports quota etc. Students are admitted based on the rank secured in the CAT exam.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum follows the syllabus prescribed by the Univeristy. The syllabus is similar to the CSIR-NET examination. This makes us easy to crack the NET exam during the course itself. The practical syllabus is also well designed to make students to have a hand on experience in various new instruments. The syllabus is a little bit vast which is difficult cover in a single semester. The exams are conducted by the department with 2 internal exams and one external exam.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee for the course is paid yearly rather than semester vise. The approximate fee for an year is 10000. The fee for the semester exams are paid separately during the time of exams. There is no extra fees required in regarding the course. The students can avail many scholarships as per the eligibility criteria provided by the National Scholarship Program.
Campus Life :
The campus is very free for students with limited restrictions. The campus celebrates most of the festivals like Onam, Christmas etc. The college participates in the Univeristy Kalotsavam held every year competing with more than 100 other colleges. The University has a central library access to all students and a library for each department. The library provides a plethora of reference texts, articles, journals and previous year question papers. The campus celebrates a 3 day Campus Day program every year with many cultural acivities.
Faculty :
The faculties here are well experienced holding Phd and doing post doctoral works. They all have a great knowledge in the field of Life Science and other technologies. They guide each of the students to achieve their goal and also encourage in various innovations and start ups. Both theory and practicals are handled by the facuty in a nice way. Every teachers are approachable for all students at any time and there is individual mentor- mentee meetings.

Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is to be improved. I think we are continuing the same syllabus which was implemented years ago. The relevant and interesting syllabus is to be implemented. More than unnecessary theories we must focus on the application of the subject in daily life.
