You have to to be qualified in JEE mains to apply for the course. There is no application form or anything to join the college. The only way to join the college is through JEE mains. Apply for JEE mains and score a good rank. Then in the JOSAA counseling process apply for the college if your rank is under the cut off rank you will get your desired department. There are reservation benefits in the counseling based on caste reservation.
I chose this course because there were many placement options for my course and packages were high. I think the curriculum prepares us well for the real world applications. Apart from the classes we have labs to do everything practically and we have projects which are real life applications and solely done by the students and faculties just help you with your doubts. It makes us ready for the placements well. We have to give seminars so we don't have to face problems in the interviews.
After 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There are lot of companies which visit the college but most percentage of the jobs are offered by Google, Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, Reliance, Wipro etc. the average package in my department during 2024 campus placements is 14 LPA and the highest package is 39 LPA in campus placements and 83 LPA in off campus placements. More than 80 Percent of the students are placed every year. I plan to write Gate and do MBA after getting my degree.
For every person whose Annual income is more than 8 lakhs he has to pay the full course fees i.e. 1,36,000 and for people who have income between 1 lakh to 8 lakhs they have to pay nearly around 30,000 per semester that is around 60,000 per year. For students with income less than 1 lakh they have pay around 11000 per year. Ths is regardless of caste gender everything. For students who are from SC and ST community their fee is 11000 per year regardless of their income.
Rebeca is the second oldest fest in INDIA. Along with that every department has departmental fests. Our department lal fest is called Revelation. Which is held during March or April every year. Every book required for an engineering student is available in the library. Only two departments have AC in their classrooms and the remaining doesn't. A lot of sports tournamenta are held in the college, additionally we get invited to participate in the fest of IIT Kharagpur. There are two large grounds in the campus for cricket and football. Kabaddi court, Volleyball Court, Basketball Court etc are there in the campus. All most all the clubs are run by students. There are a total of 16 clubs in the college and every club is run by a student.
Hostels rooms are very old. The hostel are not good. In our hostels they provide food, free wifi. The food is not at all good. Mostly the food is potato. Every week except for breakfast there is potato at least 10 times. You have to register for hostel after coming and joining the college. Hostel fees is 30000 per semester.
Thw faculty to student ratio is approximately 13. Completion of Ph.d is compulsory for a professor in the respective courses he teaches. Most of the professors are very highly qualified. We can interact with the professor at any time when he doesn't have another class to take. Even when he is not in the college we can email them and they get back to us.
About my course , yea it is good , there are some subjects, like iks , Indian constitution, values and ethics, I don't think so this are really needed , but some subjects like computer practicals are damn. good , and interesting
Placement scene is excellence in this College you can take placement from first year. All big shipping company come to this campus only for placement in engine side.Minimun 600dollar is the monthly package.
While campus placements are one option, students also have alternative routes to employment after completing their course. Colleges negotiate with companies for placement dates, packages, and times. The placement process typically includes pre-placement talks, written tests, group discussions, and HR interviews. If campus placements aren't offered, or if a student isn't selected, they can explore other avenues like off-campus placements, internships, freelancing, recruitment agencies, government jobs, MOOCs, or further studies.
The campus placement starts mainly from 6th semester. The campus placement is good, but this year i.e. 2023-24 the placement rate was around 52% which was 91% in previous year. The mechanical and food technology branches had the maximum placement this session with almost 80%+ placement rate, the non-core branches like CSE, AIML had very low placement rate. The highest package offered this year was 33lpa which was 22lpa previous year. The avg package was 3-4.5 lpa. After my graduation I would try for campus placement.
Heritage has decent placement. Nearly 100 percent students got placed. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, and Infosys are came every year. And microsoft and Amazon came sometime for pool campasing.
As I'm from civil engineering department and aiming for government job this college is good as per my knowledge with the low fee structure and as a matter for course curriculum this college is a auto autonomous which allows the college to modify the course structure by its own which helps the students to score good marks in the exams.
From 7th semester the students become eligible for campus placements. Cognizant, IBM, TCS and various companies for the core deptertment visited. According to 2022 placement history above 85% students from my stream got placements. but after 2022 we don't have any information about placements. the college doesn't release anything about placements. It should be the rate of placements is decreasing day by day. It's a very negative sign for us.
