You have to to be qualified in JEE mains to apply for the course. There is no application form or anything to join the college. The only way to join the college is through JEE mains. Apply for JEE mains and score a good rank. Then in the JOSAA counseling process apply for the college if your rank is under the cut off rank you will get your desired department. There are reservation benefits in the counseling based on caste reservation.
I chose this course because there were many placement options for my course and packages were high. I think the curriculum prepares us well for the real world applications. Apart from the classes we have labs to do everything practically and we have projects which are real life applications and solely done by the students and faculties just help you with your doubts. It makes us ready for the placements well. We have to give seminars so we don't have to face problems in the interviews.
After 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There are lot of companies which visit the college but most percentage of the jobs are offered by Google, Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, Reliance, Wipro etc. the average package in my department during 2024 campus placements is 14 LPA and the highest package is 39 LPA in campus placements and 83 LPA in off campus placements. More than 80 Percent of the students are placed every year. I plan to write Gate and do MBA after getting my degree.
For every person whose Annual income is more than 8 lakhs he has to pay the full course fees i.e. 1,36,000 and for people who have income between 1 lakh to 8 lakhs they have to pay nearly around 30,000 per semester that is around 60,000 per year. For students with income less than 1 lakh they have pay around 11000 per year. Ths is regardless of caste gender everything. For students who are from SC and ST community their fee is 11000 per year regardless of their income.
Rebeca is the second oldest fest in INDIA. Along with that every department has departmental fests. Our department lal fest is called Revelation. Which is held during March or April every year. Every book required for an engineering student is available in the library. Only two departments have AC in their classrooms and the remaining doesn't. A lot of sports tournamenta are held in the college, additionally we get invited to participate in the fest of IIT Kharagpur. There are two large grounds in the campus for cricket and football. Kabaddi court, Volleyball Court, Basketball Court etc are there in the campus. All most all the clubs are run by students.There are a total of 16 clubs in the college and every club is run by a student.
Hostels rooms are very old. The hostel are not good. In our hostels they provide food, free wifi. The food is not at all good. Mostly the food is potato. Every week except for breakfast there is potato at least 10 times. You have to register for hostel after coming and joining the college. Hostel fees is 30000 per semester.
Thw faculty to student ratio is approximately 13. Completion of Ph.d is compulsory for a professor in the respective courses he teaches. Most of the professors are very highly qualified. We can interact with the professor at any time when he doesn't have another class to take. Even when he is not in the college we can email them and they get back to us.
Campus placement is offered by my college and companies come to my college from all over the world. From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Most common and frequent companies are Schlumberger, reliance,tata etc they offer placement to 20-30 students every year.highest package offered was of 2.3crs and college average package lies between 15-20 lakh. around 80 percent students get placed every year. My plan after the completion of my BTech degree is to go for further studies by clearing CAT exam and applying for manegement course in IIM's and then getting placed in foreign or to get a reputed government job in India.
There are plenty of opportunities for placement provided by college you just need to work on your skills in right direction. Faculties are also very supportive and will help you with any relevant problems and guide you .Each department have there training and placement cells they will let you know of all the notification. I'm not sure of numbers but there are minimum 50 companies. Highest package is of our 4th year senior of 24 or 26 LPA .If you won't get placed in any company college will help you with off campus placement.

The placements of our college depends upon the effort of the students. However, the average placement which college can give is Rs 500000 per annum. But, if we want to increase our package, we have to go to further studies like MBA or M.Tech.
