Are the placements at MDI Murshidabad at par with those of MDI Gurgaon?

MDI Murshidabad has been established recently and is still finding its place in the B-School sector. While MDI Gurgaon is a reputed business school. It is clearly reflected in the placement statistics. MDI Gurgaon average package is INR 23.15 LPA.

Both campuses have different placement processes and MDI Gurgaon receives offers from top companies while it is not same for MDI Murshidabad.
In terms of teaching, MDI Murshidabad is very close to what MDI Gurgaon offers, as the curriculum for PGPM is similar.
Most of the faculty at MDI Gurgaon is from IIM Calcutta, IIM Shillong, and other prominent B-schools.
The infrastructure of MDI Murshidabad supports basic amenities a B-school student requires. This B-school offers a good and nice digital library that covers important databases which are enough for conducting decent research in industry and academia.

The placements can't be compared as their establishment year differs to a greater extent. But if we look at the 3rd generation IIMs and second and third campuses of reputed B-schools, it is doing at par with them.
You should do a thorough research about B-schools. It takes a lot of effort to sustain and prosper in a new B-school even though it belongs to the MDI group. Being serious about learning and having an affinity to do better helps develop a better business sense.
MDI Murshidabad Alumni receives placements from India as well as international organizations. The teaching of MDI Murshidabad & Gurgaon are equally good.
MDI Murshidabad is a relatively new campus with its own administration, professors, and processes. The Murshidabad campus was established in 2014 so it is still in the developing phase. The institute has basic amenities that a B-School student requires. There is a decent digital library comprising of major databases (although not at the same level as MDI Gurgaon) but efficient for research works and academics. In terms of teaching, however, MDI Murshidabad is very close to that of Gurgaon as the curriculum for PGPM is similar. Also, most of their faculty is from MDI Gurgaon and other leading business schools.
The placement comparison of MDI Murshidabad with that of Gurgaon will be unjust as the year of establishment differs to a great extent. But if we compare MDI Murshidabad to the 3rd generation IIMs and second and third campuses of reputed B-schools, it is doing pretty well. MDI Murshidabad alumni even got calls for placement from Indian companies as well as coveted International MNCs. In 2019 campus placement the institute witnessed a 100% placement rate with an average placement package of 10.5 LPA and the highest CTC was around 21 LPA.
However, MDI Gurgaon has started assisting the Murshidabad campus in various activities including placements. Thus, many opportunities can be expected for the Murshidabad campus in the near future.
