Is BITS Pilani "Pilani campus" better than IIT Roorkee or IIT Guwahati?

If you are a CSE enthusiast, BITS Pilani will be the best option among these. Top MNCs like Google, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, etc. visit the campus placement to recruit. The recent highlights of BITS Pilani placements, show the average CTC for CSE to be around INR 18 LPA.
If you aren’t sure about your branch preference, choosing IIT Roorkee will be better. The IIT Tag can be quite beneficial. For branches like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc. usually IIT students have better technical knowledge compared to BITS students.
BITS Pilani offers an enviable campus experience. Students are given the freedom to study and explore anything they want.
It is difficult to compare institutes when the choice of course is not specified. All of these institutes are well-reputed and have their own advantages. According to the NIRF Ranking 2020 IIT Roorkee, IIT Guwahati and BITS Pilani are ranked at 6, 7, and 30. IIT Roorkee and BITS Pilani are old institute and have a bigger alumni base as compared to IIT Guwahati.
- Admission:IIT Roorkee and IIT Guwahati select students for admission based on their JEE Advanced rank. Whereas BITS Pilani conducts BITSAT for admission which is an equally difficult exam, so the student crowd at all these institutes is of the same level.
- Future Opportunities:For CSE BITS and IIT Roorkee is the better option as compared to IIT Guwahati. If you want to pursue higher education abroad then the IIT tag will more helpful for its international recognition.For other core departments like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc. the facilities and future opportunities provided at these institutes are almost at the same level. For post-graduation IITs are much better as there is a lack of research opportunities in the case of BITS Pilani.
- Placements:The in-campus placements of IITs in non- core sector are better as compared to placements in BITS Pilani whereas in the core-sector it is the same. BITS Pilani also has its flagship Practice School Program where students can get pre-placement offers at top companies.According to 2019 placement highlights, 82% of students of BITS Pilani got placed with an average CTC 14.86 LPA. The average placement package at IIT Roorkee and IIT Guwahati in 2019 placement was 13.2 LPA and 11 LPA respectively.
