What is the CAT cut-off for DOMS IIT Madras?
Posted On - Aug 14, 2020The cut-off score for CAT for the Department of Management Studies (DOMS) at IIT Madras varies from year to year and is subject to change. However, for the 2022-2024 batch, the CAT cut off for General category candidates was 95, while the cut-off for OBC category was 85.
It's important to note that the CAT score is only one of the criteria for admission to the MBA program at DOMS IIT Madras. The institute also considers academic performance, work experience, and performance in group discussions and personal interview rounds while making admission decisions.
The cutoff of most of the B-Schools is not just dependent on CATPercentile,there are other factors that are considered before disclosing the shortlist for WAT-PI. They are as follows:
- Work experience
- Past academic performance
- Gender diversity
- Degree of any higher education or certification and any relevant achievements
These factors have due weights that pertain to contribute to a composite score. The calculated composite score is used to shortlist students for the next round of the admission process by DOMS Madras.
In 2019 for MBA programs offered by DOMS IIT Madras, the required CAT cutoff was 85 for General category students for the first round. The cutoff varies every year depending on the difficulty level of the paper. For admission into programs offered by DOMS IIT Madras students are also required to have 60% marks in aggregate (all the years/semesters) or 6.0 GPA in their graduation.
