Which is better TAPMI or GIM Goa?

Both institutions have their own unique strengths and areas of focus.GIM is known for its focus on sustainability and corporate social responsibility, as well as its international focus with a strong emphasis on international business.
Both institutes give a sharp edge to each other in terms of rankings, placements, and infrastructure. My cousin was in a similar situation and eventually went for GIM owing to its smaller batch size. Although both institutes offer similar opportunities and exposure, I can guarantee that GIM will give you a much better campus life.
TAPMI too is a leading B School and from what I heard from a friend, most of its pass outs are working in high positions in reputed firms. Overall,
- Placement-wise, GIM>TAPMI
- Campus life-wise, TAPMI>GIM
Ultimately, the choice between TAPMI and GIM will depend on the individual's specific interests and career goals. Both institutions offer high-quality education,
If you want a career in Marketing, then GIM Goa will be a better option. For a career in Marketing, TAPMI BKS is a better option.
GIM Goa has a smaller batch size. So, students get the required attention. Also, there is less competition during placements. GIM Goa placements 2022 highlights show an average CTC of 12 LPA.
Although TAPMI has a large batch size, the faculty base for finance is good.
Comparison between both of them is not easy. Both of them have their own reasons to stand and flourish for years.
While there is a very slight difference that comes out by just having a look but let me help you in comparing better the two supposedly rival institutes.
Location: It is almost similar for both institutes. While one is near IT city Bangalore, the other is near the commercial capital.
Batch strength: It is certainly an advantage at GIM Goa having almost 60% of the strength of TAPMI Manipal. GIM Goa offers better opportunities with lesser competition to the candidates.
Course Fee:
- It is almost similar with a difference of 1 or 2 Lacs, being relatively lower at GIM Goa.
- Overall ROI could have been similar again but the lower batch size makes it slightly in favor of GIM Goa; very minute difference though.
- While even the top B Schools have been hit by the enormous batch size, TAPMI Manipal getting hit is obvious.
If you have work experience of 3 years or more you should not be joining either of the two institutes. Because with a load of loans they are going to impose on you and the median earning potential they are going to provide you. You would be in a huge financial debt for at least 5 to 7 years give or take.
It is fine for freshers or people with less work experience to join as their opportunity cost and the personal responsibilities awaiting are relatively lesser or counter them after few years of graduating from B School.
