When it comes to making a decision about your higher education, it is important to consider all your options and choose the one that best fits your goals and interests.
If you are considering taking Manufacturing at Pilani with the hope of transferring to a different branch after the first year, it's important to keep in mind that branch transfers are not guaranteed and can be difficult to obtain. Therefore, it might not be the best option for you if you are not genuinely interested in pursuing a degree in Manufacturing.
Instead, you might want to consider IIIT Allahabad for its IT program. It is a well-respected institution with a good faculty and a reputation for producing skilled graduates. Plus, it might be a better fit for you if you are interested in pursuing a career in IT or related fields.
Another option to consider is taking a dual degree at BITS. This will give you the opportunity to pursue a degree in a related field and increase your chances of being accepted into a CS program at BITS. This can be a good option if you are willing to put in the effort and time required for a dual degree program.
In the end, the decision is yours and you should choose the option that aligns with your interests, goals, and career aspirations.
From my perspective, both colleges have their own importance. IIIT A is known best for its IT and coding culture and BITS for its amazing campus and placements. One of my cousins took admission in BITS but later changed his mind and went for IIIT A.
He previously studied in BITS Pilani in the manufacturing branch and thought that he will get his branch changed after 1st semester but later, he got to know that he will not be getting an option for branch change. Hence, he decided to give JEE again and landed IT here in IIITA.

But, if you are willing to take Manufacturing at Pilani and hoping that you can get a transition after the first year, then I would suggest not to opt for it. Branch transfer is not an easy task. Thus IIITAs IT will be a better option for you.
It all depends on how strong and hard-working and true you are towards your learning and grades; that matters. If you are sure you can work a bit hard and make a decent score in your first year, go for BITS Pilani.
