How good is IIM Lucknow PGPSM course in terms of placement?
Posted On - Feb 3, 2021The PGPSM course of IIM Lucknow is fairly new, and has a small batch size. The placements for this course are good enough, and the average package is comparable to the flagship PGP course of IIML.
It is quite easy for a college of this stature to get such a small batch of students placed. But PGPSM is conducted from the Noida campus, so the students lose out on the facilities and opportunities available at the main Lucknow campus.
But this course is recommended for those who want to build a career in Sustainable Management.
One of my friends is enrolled in the same course in IIM Lucknow and he is in the first batch. According to him pursuing PGPSM course from IIM Lucknow is the right choice due to certain factors which include good placement opportunities primarily. Furthermore, as the course is newly introduced, the number of students is also limited. This gives them the best opportunities to get placed in top companies.
- Most of the students have been placed with companies like PwC, EY, KPMG. The job offered by these companies is in different sectors like climate change, business advisory, and many more.
- Apart from that, companies in the Energy field like Mytrah Energy and Vikram Solar also offered different roles to aspiring candidates.
- There are job opportunities in sectors like sales and marketing, business development, finance, banking as well. You will not be confined to your department and will constantly interact with other departments as well.
- There are satisfactory packages and placement provided in IIM Lucknow in comparison with other B-Schools in India offering the same course.
Even this fact can’t be ignored that it is only the first batch, so there are chances that the number of students in a single batch will increase and also the number of recruiting companies which will definitely make PGPSM one of the most successful courses in IIM Lucknow.
