Which should I choose - EEE at SSN or CSE at Thiagarajar College of Engineering?

EEE is one of the premier undergraduate programs offered in the SSN College of Engineering. The EEE department consists of a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty of 30 members. The department emphasises sound practical knowledge while nurturing creativity in the students. 

CSE at Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE) involves the study of computer programming, network, etc. The institute is affiliated to Anna University and approved by AICTE. It is ranked 56th in the engineering category by NIRF.

Admission Process

SSN College of Engineering

  • The candidates need to pass 10+2 from a recognised university. 
  • The final selection of the candidates depends on the TNEA score.
  • The required cut off for admission in EEE was 739-2564.

Thiagarajar College of Engineering

  • The candidates need to pass 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks. 
  • The final selection of the candidates depends on the TNEA counselling. 
  • The required cut off for admission in CSE was 284-2941.

Finally, it is entirely upon the candidates’ choice of interest. Ultimately it is based on the subject on which you will be working hard and putting efforts. CSE will have its portion of electrical and electronics and vice versa. 

One advantage of pursuing EEE is that you can specialize in one of its core subjects or switch to computer science. Moreover, every department has nowadays a computer programming course.
