To get admission to AIIMS Rishikesh as a general category student, you need to appear for the AIIMS MBBS entrance exam conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. The admission to AIIMS Rishikesh will be based on your performance in this exam.

The AIIMS MBBS entrance exam is a computer-based test and consists of 200 objective type questions from subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, General Knowledge, and Aptitude & Logical Thinking. Each question carries one mark, and there is a negative marking of 1/3 mark for each wrong answer.

The minimum qualifying mark for general category students in the AIIMS MBBS entrance exam is 50%. However, the actual cut-off marks required to get admission to AIIMS Rishikesh vary from year to year depending on various factors like the difficulty level of the exam, the number of candidates appearing for the exam, and the availability of seats.

You should aim to score as high as possible in the AIIMS MBBS entrance exam to increase your chances of getting admission to AIIMS Rishikesh.

Your admission depends mostly on your rank, rather than the marks you have received. Besides, the marks also slightly vary as per the shifts, mainly based upon the level of the paper.

Be that as it may, the closing rank for every AIIMS institute is typically sloping upwards every single year. For instance, as per the 2016 report, AIIMS Rishikesh kept the closing rank around 1085 for the General Category.

Categories MBBS Cut off
General 769
OBC 1664
SC 10471
ST 23966

That being said, ranking around 1000 would be the best fit nonetheless. Moreover, if the paper is usual, then your marks should at least be more than 120 to 125.
