Which is better, IIT Roorkee or NIT Trichy?

Overall, NIT Trichy is ranked 21 out of 200 colleges in India in 2022 by NIRF IIT Roorkee ranks 7 out of 200 colleges in India in 2022.
By choosing IIT Roorkee you will be attaching yourself to the IIT Tag for the rest of your life which undoubtedly will help you in shaping your career.
Both institutes offer equally good exposure and facilities in terms of infrastructure. So it’s better you find the driving force within you. Determine your area of interest and then go for the branch that is best in either of the institutes. Don’t let your relatives or friends make the decision for you.
NIT Trichy is better than IIT Roorkee. It has a great brand presence in the industry. NIT T offers good facilities and infrastructure. The campus is well-connected through train, flight, and road.
NIT Trichy has an excellent placement record. According to the recent highlights, the average CTC for the institute is INR 6 LPA. The salary packages offered in the campus drive go as high as INR 42 LPA. HCL, Godrej, Wipro, HDFC Bank, etc. are some of the major recruiters that frequently visit NIT Trichy placements.
Having known some people studying in both these colleges, I can say that NIT Trichy outperforms IIT Roorkee in the ECE department. Here are some reasons why:

- On the other hand, IIT has a strong brand that cannot be denied, but still Roorkee and Guwahati are behind NITs Trichy and Warangal.
- In terms of placements at NIT Trichy, it holds the record of 100% placement for the students that have been placed in the last five years.
- They were offered an average package of 10 lakhs per annum.
- The highest package that was offered will be around 18 and 22 LPA and the lowest package would be roughly 5 LPA.
- NIT Trichy has an excellent infrastructure and is well connected by road, train, and air.
- Nit Trichy also has excellent sports facilities, whereas the Hostel life is really pleasant and appealing.
