One of my cousins was a part of NITIE Mumbai and has a better outlook regarding the same. Here is what he has to say,
NITIE Mumbai is equipped with a 16 storied hostel apartment for boys, commonly called the Taylor Hostel, and almost 8 to 10 equipped for the girls, mostly known as the Gilbreth Hostel.
The girls’ hostel is quite old and outmoded.
The rooms of the Gilbreth Hostel, however, are quite a bit more spacious than what is in the boys’ hostel.
The hostel arrives with 27 rooms on every floor, with a twin sharing policy added.
It comes with two beds, two tables and chairs, and two individual cupboards.
The rooms are gigantic and completely airy.
The view side of the institute’s hostel is beyond explanation as well. It overlooks the Vihar Lake on one side, while the Hiranandani Gardens on another.
The food you can avail in two messes is commonly known as Sarabhai and Taylor hall. Mostly, the food quality remains constantly the same either way.
The hostels also have table tennis courts, and mounted television sets as well.
These are what you should know before finally deciding anything.
