MNNIT Allahabad placements for MTech students are average. In 2021, the placement average for MTech branches was 25.06%.

Here are the highlights of MNNIT Allahabad placements 2021 for MTech.

Particulars Placement Statistics
Average CTC  INR 11.49 LPA
Highest CTC  INR 30.96 LPA
No of eligible students  387
No of students placed  98

Almost all the software MNCs like Amazon, Walmart, Qualcomm, etc. allow MTech CSE students to sit for placements. For branches like Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical, the core placement opportunities are limited.

Mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys, etc. allow all M.Tech branches for their recruitment process.

My brother is in MNNIT and has recently started receiving placement offers as an M.Tech student of CSE.

MNNIT has also extended the duration of internships, which was 6 months earlier, but now it is for 11 months. As a 2nd-year M.Tech student you will have the option to take up internships in both the 3rd and 4th semesters. In the final year, you can opt for an industry internship of 11 months.

In 2020, it was around 70-90%. You can easily get a 6-month internship contract with Microsemi, Netapp, Adobe, Vmware, Cisco, General Electric, or others. Some companies here even offer a much higher package to M.Tech students than to B.Tech ones. The exceptions being JP Morgan and Samsung.

  • The M.Tech in CSE students in 2020, saw the highest package offered to be 29.16 LPA. The average package was 11 LPA.
  • CSE students receive good offers of INR 18-20 LPA from major software companies like Cisco, Amazon, Walmart, Qualcomm, and others.
  • More than 50 companies have allowed MTech students to sit for placements. Many software companies have allowed students to sit for coding tests.
  • ECE candidates got full-time opportunities as well with core companies like Intel, Cisco, Texas Instruments, John Deere, etc.

There were some hopeless situations, like placements in Communication Systems, which was highly unsatisfactory with only 2 out 11 students chosen for jobs. Placements in core companies from other branches like Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical were discouraging as well with 2-3 placements only.

Some students went for teaching roles as well at other institutes with pay of INR 4-7 LPA. Some hope has been shown by mass recruiters like TCS and Infosys, but the selection is largely based on your personal talent.
