VTC BSc Course 2022: Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), the only technological university in Karnataka, has decided to offer BSc Courses to all interested and eligible candidates from the next academic session 2021-2022.
Visvesvaraya Technological University has identified 66 Engineering government and private colleges in Karnataka state to offer B.Sc courses. The colleges have been selected based on their facilities and the availability of faculty members on the campus to offer the program.
VTC has submitted the proposal to the Karnataka state government, and now is waiting for approval. With the approval, the university will offer the BSc (Honours) program for a duration of four years as per National Education Policy 2020 guidelines.
Referring to the initiative, the VTU Vice-Chancellor Prof Karisiddappa said, “It is a four-year BSc (Honours) program that comes with an exit option as per the National Education Policy (NEP) guidelines".
"Visvesvaraya Technological University, Karnataka has decided to start the courses following a suggestion by the Higher Education Minister Dr. CN Ashwath Narayan" he further added.
Adding to his statement, he stated that the decision to offer a B.Sc program in various affiliated colleges was made during a meeting with the executive council and academic senate. In accordance with the approval, VTC has invited colleges to offer a B.Sc program.
After receiving several applications from various colleges, the VTC has selected over 66 Engineering colleges in Karnataka state based on their infrastructure and faculty availability.
“Our engineering colleges have the best faculties in physics and mathematics. With this, we can make better use of their knowledge and experience. This year, we have shortlisted 66 colleges and are waiting for approval from the government,” Prof Karisiddappa added.

Furthermore, Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) has requested the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) to start the admission process for the B.Sc program based on KCET 2021 ranks.
Visvesvaraya Technological University Admission 2021 seats will be offered to students based on their scores in Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2021.
“The priority will be given to those who have written KCET and the seat allotment will be done through KEA. In case there are vacant seats, we will allow non-KCET students' ' VTC Vice-Chancellor further added.
