New Delhi: Aspirants for JEE Advanced who graduated from Class XII in 2020 and 2021 have been asking for another chance to take the test. They have been conducting Twitter campaigns, writing to the exam's organizers to express their worries, and writing to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Only two continuous attempts are permitted for students, one in the year they pass Class XII and the second immediately afterward. Students want the qualifying requirements for JEE Advanced 2023 to be reviewed so they can retake the exam.

The Bihar Education Department has now received a petition from the All India Students’ Union on behalf of JEE applicants. "It's our kind plea to the administration to consider JEE Aspirants genuine concerns," the student body tweeted.

Since being shared, the tweet has garnered more than 40 likes and 46 retweets with the hashtag "#JEEAdv2023For2021Passouts."

Based on their JEE Advanced results, students are admitted to engineering programs at all 23 IITs. Students who were qualified to take the exam in 2020 and 2021 but could not do so have been allowed to retake the exam for JEE Advanced 2022

This applied to Class XII 2020 students who could not sit for the test even once because of the pandemic. The 2021 Class 12 pass-out cohort doesn't appear to be entitled to a second chance, which the pupils are asking why given that a similar relaxation was granted in 2022 for the 2020 kids.
