Sri Sri University will introduce a course on Contemplative and Behavioural Sciences from the forthcoming academic session in August 2020.

As per Rajita Kulkarni, President, Sri Sri University and World Forum of Ethics in Business, this course will include western and eastern views of psychology coupled with contemplation. Contemplation belongs to the rich culture of Indian heritage.

The department of Contemplative and Behavioural Sciences started by Sri Sri University will be first of its kind in the world.

The university has completely transformed into a digital mode once the lockdown began, providing a short term professional course.

As per Kulkarni, the team at Sri Sri University created benchmarks, working strenuously on setting up a digital platform for education. This was to make the education system more insightful that ended up in increasing student's attendance as well.

As per the President of the university, this lockdown has made people more dependent on technology as the entire education system has shifted to online platforms. However, in-person teaching is also significant in character-building for students.

Thus, in times to come, educational institutions and universities have to adopt a blended approach to leverage technology and online teaching with classroom teaching.

She further said the university conducted 10-12 online management programs of both short and longer duration.

In a month’s time, the varsity conducted about 50 webinars in technical and professional skills like the influence of Sanskrit on modern life and economics, osteopathy, MBA etc.

The university has been constantly making efforts not only to complete their curriculum but to upgrade the skills of students. It has reached out to organizations to teach meditation and breathing techniques.

Sri Sri University is coming up with an online Happiness Festival that will focus on increasing immunity and fostering positivity and productivity in life in the times of Coronavirus pandemic.
