BSEB has released OFSS Second merit list on Sep 2, 2022. Candidates can check the merit list on the official website of OFSS Bihar i.e. ofssbihar.in. The first merit list was released on August 12, 2022.  

• On the basis on second merit list students can apply for admission from Sep 2 to Sep 9, 2022.
• Candidates can download stream-wise merit list by selecting the respective district.

OFSS Bihar: Eligibility

Students who have passed matriculation or equivalent examination from Bihar School Examination Board, CBSE, ICSE or any other recognized state or central board can apply for admission in class 11 through OFSS portal.

BSEB has not prescribed any minimum marks requirement for admission. However, the cut off list will be released and marks will vary according to the intermediate schools/colleges. 

• BSEB will release multiple cut off list depending on the vacancy across the schools and colleges
• There is no prescribed age limit for any candidates with regard to the admission in class 11
• Eligibility criteria in context to the marks may vary depending on the streams selected by the candidates.

OFSS Bihar 11th Admission Process 2022

All the candidates seeking admission in intermediate for session 2022-24 shall fill and submit the online application form through OFSS Bihar portal. Payment shall also be made through online mode before the last date of application. It will be mandatory for the students to provide their valid email address and mobile number at the time of registration.

OFSS Bihar 11th Admission 2022: Pre Requisites

All the candidates are suggested to check the cut off list for different intermediate schools and colleges available on the OFSS portal, and then apply accordingly. Choices for colleges once made cannot be altered or changed at a later stage.

Steps to Apply from ‘Sahaj Vasudha Kendra’

There are a total of 4089 Sahaj Vasudha Kendra allocated for class 11 admission through OFSS. The whole center is run and managed by BSEB. List of these centers are available on the official website and candidates can check for the same. Candidates have to visit the canter and take the application form from there. If candidates have passed the matriculation exam from BSEB then Form No. 5 will be required. In case of other boards, Form No. 6 is required to be filled. All the details are required to be filled in capital letters only.

• Candidates are required to fill the application form manually and duly sign the form
• Add details of colleges in the attachment form
• Submit the application form to the center operator along with a colored passport size photograph
• The operator will feed all the details in the portal and it will be shown to the candidate for verification
• After clicking on confirm button, an OTP will be sent to the applicant’s phone number and the same shall be entered on the portal
• After final submission of the form, a copy shall be given to the candidates.

Steps to Apply through District Registration Cum Counselling Center:

Candidates have to visit the District Registration Cum Counselling Center to receive the printed copy of application form. If the candidates have passed matriculation from BSEB, then form 7 shall be filled. In case of other boards, form 8 shall be filled and submitted.

• Fill the application form in capital letters and sign at the appropriate slot
• Mark the choices of institutes for admission as per the cut off criteria
• Hand over the duly filled form to the center operator along with colored passport sized photograph
• The center operator will enter all the details in the OFSS portal
• Verify the details and get the e-challan
• Submit the fee at nearest branch of SBI or Indian Bank(earlier Allahabad Bank) with an additional cost of 50.00 INR + GST
• Keep a hard copy of submitted application for future reference

Steps to Apply online at home:

• Visit the official website of OFSS portal i.e. ofssbihar.in
• Click on ‘Common Application Form’

• Read on the instructions carefully
• Check on ‘I Accept’
• Candidates who passed matriculation from BSEB have to fill roll code, roll number, passing year and date of birth 
• Candidates from other board shall fill all other details apart from those stated above
• Select a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 institutes in which you want to take admission
• Select the district from drop down list and then select the school/university and then select the stream
• Read carefully the details which you have filled and then click on ‘submit’
• Click on ‘confirm’ if you want to proceed or click on ‘modify’ if you want to edit any detail
• An OTP will be sent after submission, enter the same
• Submit the application fee of 300.00 through Credit/Debit Cards or net banking.You can also submit through e-challan

OFSS Bihar 11th Admission 2022: Selection Process

After the submission of application form, the OFSS software will arrange the applications and it will generate a final merit list. The merit list will be based on the marks of students and schools/colleges selected by him/her. A total of three merit lists will be published at fixed intervals. The intimation letter for selected candidates will be available on the website. Candidates can download the pdf file for the same after getting notification on their registered email id and phone number. The candidates can then take admission in the desired institute through an intimation letter.

OFSS Bihar Reservation Criteria

A total of 50% of the seats will be reserved for SC/ST/OBCs and Women belonging to backward class. An additional reservation of 10% will be provided for economically weaker sections(EWS). The bifurcations are tabulated below:

Note: An additional 5% seats will be reserved for Differently Abled Category Candidates in relation to the aforesaid categories.

OFSS Bihar 11th Admission 2022: Important Suggestions

• If an already enrolled candidate wants to get admission in another school/college through the Transfer process then he/she has to apply for the same category only. Transfer Admission will be provided only if the seats are vacant in the same category
• Only one application form will be accepted for a candidate. If the candidate has submitted multiple applications then one will be accepted and others will be rejected by default.
• Only online filled applications will be accepted and no manually filled applications will be accepted under any circumstances
• Application form sent by posts will be rejected 
• Candidates will be informed about their admission status through SMS/email. However, candidates are suggested to enquire about their admission status from the concerned college.

Ans: No, candidates will be required to take admission immediately after the release of the cut off list. However, if they want to change the institute later after the release of another cut off list then they can select ‘scale up’ option that will be activated online after admission in a institute.
