New Delhi: National Institute of Technology, (NIT) Jamshedpur concluded its final placements 2022, by recording a success rate of almost 94.49%, with the highest package of INR 60 lakh being offered to a student named Faiza.
This year, NIT Jamshedpur witnessed a tremendous placements record despite the prevailing covid-19. Around 94.49% of the UG students were successfully placed in top-notch companies.

The students of UG courses have completed their examination and are waiting for their results which will be announced by the institute within a month.
NIT Jamshedpur Placements 2022: UG Highlights
With a total of 581 students having registered for the NIT Jamshedpur placements 2021-22, nearly 549 students were locked out for prominent roles by various top-level companies. The NIT students who have taken admission into the UG Courses have got a total of 753 offers.
The institute recorded the overall highest package at INR 60 lakhs offered to an UG student from ECE by the UK-based Finance company, Goldman Sachs. This was followed by the USA-based company, Atlassian offering the maximum package of 56 lakhs. The average package stood at 13.2 LPA.
NIT Jamshedpur Placements 2022: PG Highlights
The placements for PG courses at NIT Jamshedpur witnessed a total of 302 participating, out of which 142 students got placed for distinguished roles with outstanding packages. The selected students received almost 190 offers.
Although the final year of PG for the academic session 2020-22 is currently going on at NIT Jamshedpur, one of the students has received a package of INR 45 LPA.
So far, the placement percentage is recorded at 47.33%, with 40% of the students opting for internships.
Speaking about the NIT Jamshedpur placements 2022, Professor Anil Kumar Choudhary, Placement In-charge, NIT Jamshedpur said that many reputed companies have reposed their trust in the institute. There has been a significant increase in placements by about 101 as compared to the previous year.
Professor Karunesh Kumar Shukla, Director, NIT Jamshedpur, said that the increase in placements and the advent of reputed companies has boosted the confidence of the institute, which is extremely advantageous for the NIT students.
He congratulated by saying that the institute achieving 95% in the placements is due to the efforts of the placement department, the students and the professors.
During the NIT Jamshedpur Placements 2022, a total of 210 companies did online and offline placements. Some of the renowned companies who recruited the students were Atlassian, Goldman Sheikhs, Amazon, Tata Group companies, Dunzo, Bajaj, Microsoft, and Jindal.
Even the UG placement was above 90 percent in all branches, with students from civil and mechanical branches getting good packages.
