NEET 2021: Students' Queries

  • NEET 2021 Exam Date

Usually, the NEET exam is conducted on the first Sunday of May after the class 12 board exams are completed. This year, CBSE class 12 board exams 2021 are scheduled from May 4- June 10, 2021, which means that NEET 2021 is likely to be held in June or July.

Due to uncertainty in NEET 2021 exam dates, students are facing problems in preparing for NEET.

However, to clear all such speculations and uncertainties, Union Education Minister has officially announced that NEET 2021 registration and exam dates will be released within the next 15 days (by January 26, 2021)

As per the official announcement, CBSE Board Exams 2021 for Class 12 will be scheduled in March; deferring delaying NEET 2021 Exam Dates to June or July.

  • NEET 2021 Exam Mode

As per reports, NTA has written a letter to the Health Ministry requesting to conduct NEET 2021 in online mode. The pen and paper mode requires much larger arrangements. Students have also requested to conduct NEET 2021 in online mode, as the physical examination will be troublesome amid COVID-19.

Union Education Minister announced in the live session that NEET 2021 exam mode will be decided after consultation with National Medical Commission (NMC) and Health Ministry.

  • Request to Conduct NEET 2021 Twice a Year

Along with exam mode, NTA has also requested the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to hold NEET exam twice a year. If held twice, medical aspirants can sigh in relief.

Candidates also requested 'Nishank' on social media platforms to raise the number of NEET sessions with hashtags #NEET2021TwoTimes and #Educationministergoeslive.

  • NEET 2021 Abroad Exam Centres

The abroad aspirants have requested NTA and Health Ministry to conduct NEET 2021 in abroad. They have requested to set up NEET 2021 exam centres for NRI and OCI candidates residing outside India.

The abroad aspirants also raised this query last year, but their request was denied by the authorities.

  • Clarity on NEET 2021 Syllabus

NEET syllabus is prepared on the basis of CBSE syllabus of class 11 and 12. CBSE has announced the syllabus reduction of 30%, which has created a fuss among students. In class 11 some topics from Physics 9 chapters have been deleted and in Chemistry some portions from 14 chapters have been reduced.

Same is the case with CBSE class 12, in Biology 5 chapters have been removed, whereas in physics some portions from 10 chapters have been reduced.

This has raised concern about NEET 2021 syllabus and students are requesting clarity over syllabus and reduction in NEET 2021 syllabus.
