State of West Bengal has decided to run the Metro Railway in Kolkata on September 13 exclusively for the NEET Aspirants. The state government has announced that only the NEET aspirants and those accompanying them will be able to use this service.

Earlier, JEE candidates in the state had to face transportation problems while travelling to the examination centre for writing the JEE Main 2020 examination.

In a bid to ease, the transportation problem for the NEET 2020 aspirants who are supposed to appear for the examination on September 13, the state government has taken this step.

As per the announcement of the state government, examinees will have to show NEET admit cards at the gates of Metro stations for using the metro rail service on the exam day.

A total of 66 trains - 33 each in up and down directions - will be run on September 13 from 11 am to 7 pm from the two terminal stations, Noapara and Kavi Subhash.

Apart from this, CM Mamta Banerjee has informed that no token will be issued to commuters and only printed card tickets will be issued to the bonafide students and their guardians. While the metro services will be available every 15 minutes.
