The rise in uncertainty about the future due to the current situation has left aspirants of NEET and JEE extraordinarily anxious.

As many aspirants prepare wholeheartedly for the entrance exams which are the gateway to their dream colleges/universities. The delay in the examination has created a sense of fear in them as the conduct of examination seems bleak.

In light of the situation, a bunch of parents wrote a letter to the National Testing Agency (NTA) requesting NEET to be conducted as per the revised schedule, on July 26.

"The speculation over the further postponement of NEET has created panic among the students causing damage to their mental health. Students need a break from the pressure. There is no social interaction during the lockdown, and the delay in holding the exam is only leading to additional stress among aspirants. Exams can be conducted by making masks, gloves, and shields compulsory in the exam centres," wrote the parents in the letter.

Earlier, on the conduct of NEET 2020, A PIL was filed by the general secretary of Kerala Muslim Culture Centre seeking directive from central government to facilitate additional exam centres for NEET 2020 in the Middle East.

In response, NTA Told Kerala High Court that it was not possible to allot examination centres abroad. 

A NEET aspirant Tanvi Kulkarni said they’re working like marathoners with no end line in sight. “The preparation is hard and the examination is extremely aggressive. We can’t afford to slide at this stage. However for 2 months now, we now have been repeating and revising identical matters. What if monotony units in? What if we go clean on the day of the examination?” 

She added, “Cancelling the examination isn’t an answer, as there is no parity in the best way totally different boards consider college students. 

Most students would want the pressure to end soon. But if there is a need, the government should postpone the exam and not cancel it," added Tanvi.
