The Ministry of Human Resource Development, which is responsible for looking after school and higher education, will collaborate with Rotary International to create audio-visual content for classes 1 to 12.

According to the latest tweet of Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal, the HRD Minister, Rotary International will be signing a Memorandum of Association with the MHRD provide content for telecast and other online platforms like Vidyadaan, and Diksha in Hindi.

According to reports, the content will be based on the curriculum set by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT, which will also form guidelines on the reopening of schools post-lockdown.

The NCERT has released an alternative academic calendar for primary, upper primary and higher secondary classes. The calendar contains a list of suggested resources for studying, which will be useful for teachers while planning classes for students.

The calendar also contains weekly activity plans pertaining to the syllabi, and a system of assessing the learning progress of children beyond textbooks, with a view to assisting teachers and parents.

Meanwhile, the HRD Minister has declared that the results of the CBSE Class 10 and 12 examinations will be released by 15 August, with efforts being made to release them as early as the end of July. “The evaluation process has already begun for the board exams and will continue to be held simultaneously with pending exams,” the HRD Minister said.
