New Delhi: MCU has postponed the admission test date by one month. It is scheduled to take place on July 24. The postponement happened as trains are getting cancelled due to the protest against the centre’s Agniveer scheme.
Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication conducts the admission tests for entry in various courses offered by the University. The date of the entrance examination has been extended to July 24.
MCU Admission registration has been extended till July 17 as per the university reports. The admission test has been cancelled for the second time, said the university official.
Avinash Vajpayee, registrar of university said, “Students in large numbers come to appear in admission test from across the country. With trains being cancelled, we don’t want deserving students to suffer.”

Making an amendment in the admission process, the university has cancelled its interview part. Admission to MCU courses will be given on the basis of a written test.
Due to COVID-19 admission tests for the Journalism university were cancelled. After two years, the university is again holding an entrance examination for the courses.
The Registrar also said that the date for admission test could be reconsidered if the railway department does not change its decision.
