The Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari while launching the state's second cluster university, has asked all the educational institutions to lay stress on innovation and incubation.
Maharashtra's second cluster university named as 'HSNC University' is a tie of three premier colleges of Mumbai- K.C. College, H.R. College and Bombay Teachers' Training College (BTTC).
HSNC University will commence the academic year 2020-21 and admissions for the same will begin soon. Once the Maharashtra HSC Result 2020 will be declared, the admission process will be started.
The Maharashtra SSC Result and Maharashtra HSC Result is expected to be out in the first half of July 2020.
"The Central Government is keen on good colleges forming cluster universities. Such clusters enable the best colleges to become centres of excellence." said the Governor.
The Governor also asked the students to acquire the knowledge of 'Adhyatmik Intelligence' or 'Inner Spirituality' which is the core heritage of India. He also recalled Swami Vivekananda's words on education during the launch, and emphasised that students must endeavour to awaken the divinity and perfection within them.
HSNC Cluster University offers choice-based courses in Music, Dance, Art and other subjects.
Minister of Higher Education Uday Samant said that the government may consider a proposal to turn Sir J J School of Art into a University. He also added that the government is also considering a plan of creating Vertical Universities.
