APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University has declared the B.Tech results of the 2016-2020 batch on September 19, 2020. The pass percentage is 46.53 including supplementary results.
According to the statistics released by the KTU, there is not much difference between pass percentages this year, as it was witnessed that a pass percentage of 36.4 was recorded last year excluding the supplementary results, as it was not available when results were declared.

The second batch of B.Tech of the varsity began on August 1, 2016. Once the eight semesters of a regular course of study was completed, KTU published the result of the batch hardly a month after finishing the last semester examination conducted during the Covid-19 pandemic in August.
According to the official reports of the varsity, around 38,002 students took admission to 23 different branches of engineering at the beginning of the 2016 batch.
However, only 32,645 regular students registered for the final semester examination conducted after the course of study.
During the program from first to last semester, a total of 5357 students dropped out in between.Out of these, 2752 students dropped the course and left the university.
While the remaining 2607 students are still continuing in lower semesters. The statistics of the varsity highlights that 7.2% of the total students who enrolled had left the program in between because of different reasons.
Furthermore, it is also come into light that out of the 34416 students registered including regular and supplementary for the last semester examination through 145 affiliated engineering colleges (9 Government College, 3 Government-Aided colleges, 22 Government controlled self-financing colleges & 111 Private self- financing colleges), a total of 16017 students (46.53%) has passed.
As per a report, It has come into light that in government, Government-aided, government-controlled self- financing and private self-financing colleges the average pass percentages are 62.93, 65, 50.06, and 41.60, respectively.
While among the top five branches, Computer Science and Engineering has received the highest pass percentage of 52.64%.
On the other hand, the average pass percentages for other major branches are Mechanical Engineering 38%, Civil Engineering 47%, Electrical and Electronics 49%, and Electronics and Communication 50%.
