New Delhi: CN Ashwath Narayan, the Karnataka Minister for Higher Education, has said that the Supreme Court has extended the deadline for admission to engineering programmes till November 30, 2022.

The deadline was previously set for October 25, 2022, by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). However, the Supreme Court had requested a deadline extension by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
The KEA requested an extension of time, citing many delays in the process, including the CET ranking dispute that had reached court.
The KEA has also extended the due date for completing the UG-NEET 2022 enrollment process. It stated that the deadline had been delayed to October 20 at 4 p.m. Applicants who have paid the application fee may submit their application materials through October 21 at 11:59 p.m.
The previous cutoff date was October 19, 2022. Due to technical difficulties, many students and their parents had to visit the KEA office to complete the process.
The high court has, in the meantime, put a hold on the ongoing counseling and PG-NEET admissions processes. According to the ruling, the KEA reported that PG counseling had ended. On October 20, the case will be heard to be further considered.
