Why JEE Toppers are Preferring Mathematics over Other Engineering Branches?

As per the experts, the major reason for the trend observed in the JosAA counselling 2020 is due to the massive demand for Data Analytics professionals in every sector across the world.

As almost every industry is now utilising data for better results, following this, it has been seen that more and more students are now choosing CSE and Mathematics over other engineering disciplines.

For instance, In 2020, a student with 111 rank in JEE Advanced chose CSE in IIT Kanpur whereas a student with 128 rank in the exam opted for the Mathematics in IIT Bombay.

Further, two students with 156 rank and 444 rank in JEE Advanced 2020 chose Mathematics in IIT Delhi and IIT Kanpur respectively.
