JEE Main 2022 Shift 1 Paper Analysis: NTA has successfully concluded JEE Main 2022 Phase 1 Shift 1 (June 23) for Paper 2 (B.Arch & B.Planning). The exam was held from 9 AM to 12 PM. As per the initial student reaction, JEE Main 2022 Phase 1 Shift 1 B.Arch & B.Planning paper was moderate in terms of difficulty level. JEE Main 2022 Question Paper for Paper 2A (B.Arch) consists of 82 questions divided into 3 sections - Mathematics, General Aptitude and Drawing Test. JEE Main2022 Question Paper for Paper 2B (B.Planning) question paper consists of 105 questions divided into 3 sections - Mathematics, Planning and General Aptitude.

For MCQs and numerical value answers in JEE Main 2022 four marks are awarded for each correct answer and one mark is deducted for every wrong answer. JEE Main 2022 Paper 2 is conducted online as a computer-based test, however, the Drawing Test in B.Arch paper is conducted offline.

JEE Main 2022 Phase 1 Shift 1 Paper Analysis for B.Arch

• Mathematics: Students reported JEE Main 2022 Shift 1 Mathematics section to be moderate with a few difficult questions. Few questions in the paper were lengthy requiring more calculations. Students also reported a majority of questions based on 3D geometry in Mathematics. As per a student, 4-5 questions in the section were from 3D geometry. 
• Aptitude: The aptitude section in JEE Main 2022 Phase 1 Shift 1 was reported to be easy to moderate. Questions from 3-Dimensional Figures dominated the question paper. 
• Drawing Test: The drawing test in JEE Main 2022 Shift 1 was easy. A question involving drawing a Holi festival scene was asked in the paper. There were other questions including- colour scheme of Burger King and redrawing a given figure in correct proportions (1:500).

• Mathematics: Students reported JEE Main 2022 Shift 1 mathematics section to be moderate in terms of difficulty level. 3D geometry was one of the topics with the highest weightage.
• Aptitude: The aptitude section was also reported to be moderate in terms of overall difficulty. There were more questions from 3-Dimensional Figures just like the architecture paper. 
• Planning: The planning section in JEE Main 2022 Shift 1 question paper was reported easy by the candidates. The section had more questions from Infrastructure Development Finance Company (IDFC).

NTA conducts JEE Main in two papers- Paper 1 is conducted for B.Tech admission while Paper 2 is further divided into Paper 2A and Paper 2B. 

• JEE Main 2022 Paper 2A is conducted for B.Arch admission at participating NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Candidates are given 3 hours to answer 77 questions carrying 400 marks. The paper is divided into three sections- Mathematics, Aptitude and Drawing. The Mathematics & Aptitude test are conducted in CBT mode while the drawing test is conducted in offline mode on an A4 size drawing sheet.
• JEE Main 2022 Paper 2B is conducted for B.Planning admission at NITs, School of Planning and Architecture, etc. Candidates are given 3 hours to answer 100 questions carrying 400 marks. The paper is divided into three sections- Mathematics, Aptitude and Planning. The exam is conducted online in CBT mode.

JEE Main 2022: What’s Next?

JEE Main 2022 Phase 1 is scheduled from June 23 to 29. The official JEE Main 2022 Answer Key and Question Paper is expected to be released by NTA in a week after the conclusion of the exam. The provisional JEE Main answer key for B.Arch Shift 1 (June 23) is expected to be released by the official authority in the first week of July.

JEE Main 2022 Paper 2 Result will be announced by the authorities after the final answer key has been released. The expected JEE Main 2022 result date is 3rd week of July 2022.
