Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) Bhubaneswar and Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D) have recently signed an MoU (memorandum of understanding) for collaboration in the fields of education and research.
The MoU will help IIT Delhi and OUAT facilitate the introduction of newer technologies as well as well trained professionals in the field of agricultural research. There will also be a strong focus on rural communities who are unable to fully sustain themselves due to financial constraints.
Both IIT Delhi and OUAT will emphasize research on sensor applications in several disciplines including agriculture, nanotechnology biotechnology, precision farming, geospatial technology, and several other areas of agriculture in order to provide the rural communities with opportunities to maintain a better livelihood. This is aimed at helping disadvantaged families and households to have access to a better quality of life.

Students of both institutions will reap the benefits of this collaboration since it will grant them access to world-class laboratories and resources of both. The driving factor for this collaboration is the common goals that both institutions have partnered to work on.
The collaboration is set to pave new paths for more interdisciplinary research using the manpower and resources from both the institutions
