New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Visakhapantam has organised the seventh edition of its annual HR conclave called "Hridaya” on the campus ground. The event was inaugurated by the IIMV Admin, Professor MV Anuradha.
At the event, Professor MV Anuradha discussed the looming economic slowdown, unemployment, and difficulties faced by employers and employees. Deepika Gupta, Professor, Career Development Services and Alumni Relations, also spoke at the event.
Sameer Chaudhary, Director and Head of L&T Electrical and Automation, spoke to the audience and shared his advice on what to consider when selecting a career. He also shared information on the healthy corporate culture, which is also promoted by Schneider Electric.
During the seventh edition of its annual HR conclave at IIM Visakhapantam, the presentation was accompanied by a panel discussion on the topic "Planning Ahead: Working through and out of the recession."
The debate, which featured Yashwant Chauhan (Chief Human Resource Manager, GAIL India), Varun Reddy Sevva (CHRO, Novtech), Harini Sreenivasan (Partner, Semcostyle Institute India LLP) and Ashish Mittal (group CHRO, Sreenidhi Educational Group).
The debate centred on some important issues, including the obstacles facing talent acquisition specialists and how talent acquisition may evolve in the future. Additionally, it was said that while soft talents might serve as a differentiator, hard skills will serve as a selector.
