New Delhi: IIM Ranchi has successfully concluded the on-campus residential Advanced Development Program (ADP). The program was organised for officers of the Indian Postal Services (IPoS), Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, Government of India.
As per IIM Ranchi, the ADP program was organised for a duration of two weeks for senior officers of IPoS with the aim to enhance the skills and capabilities of participants in the field of leadership, team management and strategic decision-making.
The IIM Ranchi ADP Program 2023 was held from January 31 to February 10, 2023 in the presence of Prof Deepak Kumar Srivastava, Director, IIM Ranchi and Pradeep Michael Lal, Director of Rafi Ahmed Kidwai National Postal Academy (RAKNPA), Ghaziabad.
Informing about the program, the official website reads, "The Indian Postal Service (IPoS) is one among the Group ‘A’ civil services in India. The program’s participants, attending from across India, have about 26-28 years of service seniority".
The development program organised by the institute is considered the third phase of the training program for senior officers. The course curriculum covered helpful topics such as accounting and finance, marketing, operations, human resource, strategy and organizational behaviour.
The main goal of this initiative is to introduce officers and interested participants to the pedagogical approaches which include lectures, in-class activities, field visits, benchmarking visits, group activities as well as other learning activities.
"The program shall help the participants hone their management competencies and leadership abilities to become more innovative and efficient in their respective roles and functions in their workplace", the official website added.
