New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad has successfully concluded the placement drive for its MBA class of 2023 of the Post Graduate Program (PGP) in Management. For this session, the institute recorded participation from 188 firms on the campus ground. 

As per IIM Ahmedabad, the placement drive included two stages. The first was the lateral process, in which recruiters interviewed students with previous job experience and offered them mid-level executive roles. Students were offered a total of 280 roles in the placement session. 

Following the IIM Ahmedabad MBA Placement 2023 data, a total of 36 companies participated from various industries, including technology, banking, finance, consulting and analytics in the first phase. The second phase saw the participation of 106 firms.

Compared to last year, there was a 135% increase in the number of offers for the Conglomerate cohort this year. Additionally, there was a 19% increase for the Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Asset Management cohort, and a 20% increase for the Cards and Financial Advice cohort.

The highest number of offers were made by Adans (including PPOs) in the General Management sector with 10 offers, followed by Essar Group with 8 offers. Tata Consultancy Services became the top recruiter in the IT Consulting cohort (including PPOs) with 10 offers. 

For this session, the placement drive for Post Graduate Program (PGP) in Management was conducted in hybrid mode, in which a large number of recruiters visited the campus. Offers in consulting domain were made by Arthur D. Little, Alvarez & Marsal and Bain & Co.

Additionally, Boston Consulting Group, Kearney, KPMG, McKinsey & Company, Monitor Deloitte and PwC were also present at the campus. Adobe, Atlassian, Ikigai Laboratories, and Oracle were a few well-known recruiters in the Tech domain that made offers to students.

Some of the prominent recruiters in Investment Banking & Markets and Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Asset Management domain are A91 Partners, Arpwood Capital, ARGA Investment, Avendus, Bank of America, Citibank, Goldman Sachs and Premji Invest among others. 

After this, American Express, Angel One, IDFC First Bank, IIFL Securities, and Mastercard were among the recruiters for the Banking, Financial Services & Insurance, and Cards & Financial Advisory sectors. 

Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Company made the most job offers during the Finals placements process. At the conclusion of the final placement process, McKinsey & Company made 34 offers (including PPOs), followed by Boston Consulting Group with 33 offers.
