Due to the Covid-19 pandemic circumstances, the Telangana State government had cancelled the class 10th board examination. IIIT Basara Courses & Fee Structure
Meanwhile, the results of the TS Class 10th exams will be on the basis of the objective criteria and the students who will be dissatisfied with their TS class 10th results would be given another chance after the situation improves.
According to the Objective Criteria issued by CBSE, the Class 10th Results will be prepared based on the internal assessment and the decision of the school. The student's performance will be evaluated through the internal assessment for which 20% marks have been allocated. In contrast, the remaining 80% marks will be calculated by the schools decision on the basis of Periodic Test/ Unit Test (10 marks), Half Yearly / Midterm Exam (30 marks) and Pre-Board Examinations (40 marks).
To nullify the variation in the difficulty level, strict, and lenient checking and other such factors, there will be standardization of marks. Thus, all the CBSE affiliated schools will follow the same standardization method.
Further, the RGUKT has allocated only 1500 seats for the six-year integrated B.Tech course. In the year 2019, around 9000 students secured 10 CGPA in the board exam. However, in 2020, almost 1.41 lakh students secured 10 CGPA in their board results which was announced on the basis of internal assessment. Also, it was difficult for the university to admit students based on the results prepared by the schools.
Since the class 10th board exams have been canceled, the admission committee at RGUKT has decided to conduct an entrance exam to shortlist the eligible candidates for the 6-year integrated B.Tech course. Moreover, it was speculated that RGUKT Basara may consider the scores of TS POLYCET for admissions to the B.Tech programme. However, the final decision has not been announced yet.
