Indira Gandhi National Open University (Ignou) is planning to conduct final exams from the second week of September.
According to IGNOU, around three lakh students from across India are expected to write the exams which will be conducted in three formats — pen-paper, online and multiple-choice objective.
The varsity has also provided an opportunity for the students who will not be able to re-appear for the exam in the month of December, along with the first and second-year students.

The officials of IGNOU have stated that most of the students, including M.Phil and PhD students, have submitted their assignments online.
Regarding the conduct of the exam, vice-chancellor, Nageshwar Rao said “Majority of the papers will be in pen-paper mode. However, some selected certificate courses will be delivered online and a few in an objective format. So we will have a blended experience.”
As per sources, there are around eight lakh students enrolled in various programmes of the varsity out of which three lakh students are from final year.
While as many as 40,000 students are from Delhi and close to one lakh students belonging from rural areas.
