New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur is all set to release the provisional answer key for GATE 2023 Exam on February 21, 2023. Students who had sat for the GATE 2023 Exam will be able to check the provisional answer key and raise objections on the official website till February 25, 2023. 

GATE 2023 Exam was held from February 4-12, 2023. Students who sat for the exam must check the GATE Provisional Answer Key thoroughly and report any discrepancy they see to the conducting authority. The provisional answer key is a temporary answer key and the final answer key shall be released after going through all the objections raised. 

The GATE Provisional Answer Key will also help students to get a fair estimate of the score they have secured in the exam. GATE 2023 Results will be prepared on the basis of the final answer key. The GATE result will be announced on March 16 on the official website of GATE – gate.iitk.ac.in.

Here are the steps which candidates can follow to check their GATE Provisional Answer Key:

  • Visit GATE 2023 official website - gate.iitk.ac.in
  • Click on the link to download answer key
  • The subject-wise GATE answer key 2023 will be displayed on the screen.
  • Download and calculate the probable scores.

GATE 2023 Provisional Answer Key: How to Raise Objections

Candidates can raise objections against the provisional answer key till February 25, 2023. If any candidate finds any discrepancy in the answer provided, he/she can raise an objection mentioning the problem in detail over the official website. The fees for raising objection is INR 500. IIT Kanpur will examine the objections raised and will release the result ans final answer key based on it. Here are a few steps in which objections can be raised:

  • Visit the official website 
  • Login using the registered ID and password
  • Click on the link ‘GATE Answer Key 2023’
  • Select the respective paper/discipline
  • Then Click on ‘Raise Objection’
  • Find the question number for which you want to raise an objection from the official answer key 
  • Enter the question ID and the correct answer.
  • Attach the supporting document in PDF format along with the section name and question number in the supporting document.
  • Pay the objection fee through the available method of payment.

It must be noted that if the objection raised is seen to be correct, the fees for raising objection paid by the student will be refunded.
