If you think you have not read some parts of the chapter in the book, you can maintain a notebook wherein you can add notes. You can add important points you would like to go through at the time of revision. For instance, you can write the location of the cells of the human body, the taxonomic classification of important plants and animals or different types of diseases. In the end, you would just need to refer to your notebook to study those particular sections.
The units of Animalia and Plantae demand extensive preparation and can be time- consuming. One needs to refer to several books for studying these important topics. Enough emphasis should be laid on all the examples given in the NCERT along with the classification and taxonomy.

Use bright highlighters and symbols to mark important things such as classification, habitat, type of cells, etc. This helps in the retention of intricate details in lengthy paragraphs easier and longer and hence, assists you during revision. You can use pens of different colors to jot down little points here and there. It is a known fact the knowledge is retained better when it is associated with visuals.
